What We Do

Scholarships – Donations

In 2019, J.S. Clark Alumni Association, inc. celebrated their tenth year of awarding scholarships to deserving high school students. Seven one thousand dollar scholarships were awarded to seven deserving students in St. Landry Parish School District. Two thousand dollars ($2,500) were awarded to the Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana (Opelousas Unit). Five hundred dollars ($500) were donated to each band from Opelousas and North Western High School.

We have so far awarded (89) one thousand dollar scholarships ($89,000.00) and donated twenty-two thousand five hundred dollar scholarships to the Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana (Opelousas Unit). Local high schools have also benefited from our charitable endeavors. We have donated ten thousand, five hundred dollars ($10,500) to support the bands at these schools. The J.S. Clark Alumni Association appreciates all donations that have been from everyone from the building of the J.S. Clark Memorial that is located in the LaVieux Village to ensure our legacy. We are very proud of these accomplishments. We would like to give our special thanks to Michael Daniels for his brilliant coordination in getting this job done.
