AUGUST 31, 2022 – ALUMNI RING – SEE UPDATE

Let me begin by acknowledging our association has been at a stalemate for the past two to three years. As we all know this delay in our association activities and goals is due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This year with things opening back up, the Board of Directors met and decided the time is right for us to resume normal activities/operations. To the many members who continued to pay their annual dues through tough times, the JSCAA Inc. would like to acknowledge and thank each of you for your dedication and believing in our organization in spite of things beyond our control. With that being said, the Board of Directors has come to the conclusion that we will resume our activities as in the past.
Meaning:
Both the Houston and Opelousas groups can begin solicitation of membership and fund-raising activities, preparing for the distribution of ten (10) scholarships at $1,000.00 each to ten (10) students of the St. Landry Parish School District submitting essays to the J S Clark Alumni Association, Inc. for review. This will take place at the Annual Banquet as in previous years. We will begin by having our Meet and Greet on Friday, followed by the Parade on Saturday  then the Banquet on Saturday night and concluding on Sunday by attending a Church Service on Sunday morning.

NOTE:  DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS THE OPELOUSAS HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES FOR THIS YEAR (2022) HAS BEEN CANCELLED.  WE WILL BEGIN PLANNING OUR ACTIVITIES FOR NEXT YEAR (2023).

Starting from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
